On this page you will find cabs of Shattuckite which is not a well known mineral to most jewelry people. For the most part the material that we cut comes from the New Cornelia Mine in Ajo, Arizona. Shattuckite and Ajoite were found as a by products in the search for copper. We do have some that comes from Bisbee that will be noted on the stone description. The Bisbee material is quite rare and comes from the Shattuck Mine (1915), hence the name.
In many case our stones also contain Ajoite which is green in color. The combinations of the blue and green can make just stunning cabs. Shattuckite by itself is several different shades of blue.
Thanks for looking at On The Rocks! Rock on !
